“You’ve Got This” is a must see Mexican film, bringing out every emotion to its audience, including laughter, happiness, sadness, and more.
The film is a great one to watch with the family as it intrigues viewers of all different ages. “You’ve Got This” is comical as well, and fills its audience’s heart with compassion and entertainment.
Released on Oct. 2, “You’ve Got This” is directed by Salvador Espinosa. This film stars Esmeralda Pinta as Ceci and Mauricio Ochmann as Alejandro as a happy couple. Alejandro is an ad creative and Ceci is an executive and right when Ceci is moving up in her job; Alejandro wants to start a family with her. He wants to have a child with Ceci but she wants nothing to do with anything that may interfere with her career. The film being directed in the language Spanish, it is suggested it be watched in that language. It would be very difficult for a viewer to follow along in English when the actor’s lips do not match what the interpreter is saying.
The opening scene of the film is not intriguing at all and loses one’s interest. It is also too long and bores the viewer quickly. This is because of the unoriginality of the scene. Although the opening scene does not catch the viewer right away, the following scenes and rest of the film are filled with lots of emotional power and make for an interesting watch.
Although the acting may seem superficial throughout the film on the surface, there are scenes where the acting is original and realistic. This keeps the audience intuned because everything is acted out intensely and with a sense of authenticity.
The film provokes its audience to feel a vast range of emotions, making them laugh, cry, and smile all in one sitting. The acting of each character is well-executed, and the scenes are filled with genuine emotions making one enjoy the film that much more.
“You’ve Got This” also portrays real life issues that make it interesting because it is relevant to modern day. It demonstrates the difficulty of separating work and marriage; church and state. Ceci is a hard worker and does not want to stop midway of her career to please Alejandro who does not have to sacrifice as much as her to have a child. Implementing real life situations make this film very suspendable and intriguing.
Overall, the film is a great watch in a group setting as it has a comical and enjoyable tone. It leaves viewers crying in some scenes, laughing in some and feeling heart warmed in others, making for an overall versatile watch.
“You’ve Got This” is available on Netflix on October 2nd. This romance-comedy is rated TV-MA.
