Costa’s Link Crew created and distributed hand-made care packages for freshmen to help them get through finals week.
Inside these care packages were things like stress balls, gum, tea, candy, study tips and other items to help freshmen when studying for their finals.
“Link crew wanted to make these packages for freshmen because we know it can be stressful for many of them, as this is their first high school final,” junior Chloe Siligan said. “Everyone in Link Crew helped in writing the study tips.”
The freshmen picked up these packages on Dec. 3 and 4 during designated time slots. To ensure that the distribution was done safely, students picked up these packages in their car at the front gate of the school.
“Each Link Crew member had the opportunity to offer ideas for what to put in the bags to make them as special and useful as possible,” junior Kayla Lowenberg said. “We wanted to make these for freshmen to make their finals week easier and less stressful, especially during distance learning.”
