The film “Tell Me When” is a film that makes one cry, smile, and laugh all in one.

“Tell Me When” is about a middle aged workaholic Mexican-American man, Will, who sets to travel Mexico from tickets his grandfather gifted him before his passing. His grandfather’s main goal was for him to discover his roots and find love.

The film is written and directed by Gerardo Gatica. As it is a Mexican film, it was filmed in Mexico. The main actors are Jesús Zavala as Will, Ximena Romo as Dani, Gabriel Nuncio as Beto, and José Ruiz as Pepe.

This film is the best family-friendly film for viewing because it brings out a variety of emotions. At one point the film will have one crying but it makes up for it by filing one’s heart with happiness. It also makes one laugh from all the corny jokes.

The exceptional acting throughout the film makes this film adequate. The actors knew how to portray emotion in a realistic way. The acting does not look and/or feel fake in any way.

This movie is worth watching because of the quality of the soundtrack. Every song that appeared in the film evoked the correct emotion from the audience. The songs were very catchy leaving the audience with songs to remember.

Although the movie is in Spanish, it brings a sense of spice to the scenery. It was the right choice for the film to be set in Spanish as the film’s setting is in a Spanish speaking country, Mexico.

As a whole, “Tell Me When” is a great family friendly movie. From a well rounded genre, to amazing acting, to it being set in a different language; this film is one of the best films of this year.

“Tell Me When” was released to Netflix on April 23rd and is rated TV-MA.
