The Mira Costa Model United Nations Program spent the weekend of Nov. 6 and 7 at UCLA for a debate.
The debate included delegates from schools across the U.S. and was composed of 26 committees that discussed various topics. The committees were further categorized into “novice” and “advanced” categories.
“Debate days are very long,” senior Leena Rotondo said. “This weekend, we met at Costa around 7:45 a.m. and got to UCLA by 8:45. From 10-12:30 it was all debating. Then we did have a long lunch break and finished off the day with another three hours of debate.”
