In the second round of CIF playoffs, on Feb. 15, the Mustangs fell short to Los Altos 51-55. The Mustangs trailed behind the whole game until the last quarter when junior Dylan Black made two three-pointers in a row to tie the game, 51-51, with one minute remaining.
“I think we played well in the second half after a weaker first half,” shooting guard sophomore James Reach said. “It was a really great season and was really fun playing with the guys everyday.”
According to Reach, The Mustangs are devastated by this loss and are motivated to redeem themselves next season. According to senior power forward Laykin Levine, the team worked very hard this season and they are proud of everything Mustang basketball has accomplished.
“I’m looking forward to next season and the new players we get to play with,” Reach said. “I think next year we need to continue the defense and improve our offense.”
