Senior Liebman supports L.A. Lakers from sidelines

Senior Noah Liebman supports the L.A. Lakers from the sidelines through social media.

Liebman started his Instagram account, @TheLakersKingdom on Oct. 8, 2015. He wanted to give Lakers’ fans updates on games and opinions of his own, as he has been a Lakers’ fan his whole life. His social media presence quickly began to grow, and as of February he has reached

61,900 followers. “I was sitting in my sister’s volleyball practice just scrolling on the Instagram explore page,” Liebman said. “I saw another Lakers’ fan account and wanted to make one as well.”

Liebman found his love for basketball and the Lakers at a young age. His mother, Liz Liebman, helped him discover his love for the Lakers Because she is a huge Lakers’ fan as well.He hopes to continue his passion for basketball by being in the basketball industry when he graduates high school.

“My mom and her co-workers are allhuge Lakers’ fans,” Liebman said. “They’d Throw big parties every time [the Lakers]played the Celtics. So, one day in 2008,they were throwing a Lakers-Celtics party,and I started watching.”

Liebman has createdTwitter and Tik Tok accounts (@thelakerskingdom) but has put his main focus on his Instagram account. Liebman has been involved with many companies such as The Hoppery, Golden-KnightGFX and CreativeHoopProject. He has been doing partnerships since he gained a following on hisInstagram platform, which has caused TheLakersKingdom to thrive.

“I have done a ton of partnership/sponsorship deals,but I don’t have an ongoing sponsor,” Liebman said.

[Most of my partnerships are with]Lakers’-themed clothing brands businesses. I have a very special partnership coming in February thatI’m not going to name drop yet.Liebman hopes to make more content outside of Instagram to create new connections and widen

TheLakersKingdom in 2022. By Creating this account, Liebman wasexposed to a new world of friendsand fellow Lakers’ fans.

“My favorite part is the friendsI’ve made through the account,”Liebman said. “There are a couple other Lakers/basketball accounts that I’ve talked to for four to five years and have built friendships with.”

Being the sole owner of the account, Liebman says he has to put a lot of time and effort into @TheLakersKingdom. Liebman’s biggest motivation and inspiration for his account is Kobe Bryant, who has been his mentor since he began watching the Lakers.

“Kobe was my biggest inspiration in my interest in the Lakers,” Liebman said. “I’ve looked up to him my whole life. His obsessions with the process, his perseverance through so many injuries and obstacles throughout his career, his dedication to his family and storytelling in his post-basketball career are all things I admire so much about him.”
