Costa Swam to victory against Peninsula Highs chool during Thursday’s dual meet
Costa swam in a dual meet against Peninsula High School on Sunday, marking their fifth consecutive win.
“For girls, I’d say Kiera stood out to me the most as she swam the 100 IM and absolutely killed it,” sophomore (position/event) Hailey Fiallos said. “Her technique was on point and her perseverance and strength was phenomenal.”
Costa had a clean sweep against Peninsula with impressive performances all around. Only five meets in, they are looking to have a very promising season. Multiple records have already been broken including a recent one by Lyanah Samayoa in the 100 yard breaststroke.
Costa’s next meet will take place on Thursday against Culver City. Fialos complimented her team for their support during last week’s meet and is excited for Costa to continue to maximize their potential.
“The environment at this meet was very supportive as usual and everyone was excited to be in the pool and cheer on our teammates,” Fiallos said. “Costa continued to perform amazingly and just provided so much energy overall.”
