ASB held its triannual blood drive on Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Pavillion Gym to support UCLA Health.
Each donor had to be at least 16 years of age to be eligible to donate. According to UCLA Health, the UCLA Blood & Platelet Center receives around 60,000 donations every year.
“One donation can save up to three lives [and] with the healthcare crisis that has been happening over the last couple of years, we have been in a blood shortage, so it is more important than ever to donate,” said senior Stella Isbell, ASB’s commissioner of community relations.
