The Mira Costa boys basketball team was defeated by Palos Verdes High School in the final game of the season for the Mustangs. On Feb. 10 at home, the Mustangs finished their season in a final score of 61-56.
The Costa seniors made a valiant effort to defeat the Sea Kings. Although senior Elliot Ozer put up 15 points and senior Thomas Johnson led the team with 17 points the Mustangs could not earn a victory or a ticket to CIF.
With a final record of 9-17 overall and 2-8 in the Bay League, the Mustangs end their season without a trip to CIF. The team will lose strong senior forces but they still have high hopes for next season.
