MBUSD holds annual All District Orchestra Festival

The Manhattan Beach Unified School District’s elementary, middle and high school orchestras held the annual All-District Orchestra Festival on Feb. 9 in the Costa auditorium to showcase student musicians within MBUSD.

Costa’s orchestra program currently includes the philharmonic, sinfonietta, symphony and chamber orchestras. These four levels consist of Costa students who practice every school day, according to freshman cellist Lachlan Murphy.

“The All-District Orchestra Festival is absolutely essential to not only the young elementary musicians, but also their parents as well,” said Murphy.
