The Mustangs lost 16-5 in a tough game against Foothill High School. The team had top performances from many of the players on the team; however, this wasn’t good enough to defeat the opposing school.

The Mustangs continued to fight hard during the entirety of the game. The other team was clearly a lot stronger than Mira Costa. The players on the other team were able to keep a higher score the entire game and therefore pulled out an easy win. Everyone continued to stay positive which helped the Mustangs get 5 points on the scoreboard.

“The season was outstanding and the fact that we even made CIF was a great accomplishment for us,” said Calder. “We were able to execute and get a couple of points on the board against Foothill High School.”

The Mustangs fortunately had a positive outlook on their performance during the game. They closed off the season with a banquet at Cheesecake Factory and celebrated all their hardwork throughout the entire season. They also congratulated themselves on their amazing record in Bay League.

“This season was definitely one for the books and all the girls on the team made the most of every moment on the field,” said Hellie. “Without the help from everyone, this team wouldn’t have made it as far as they did this season.”
