Jaxon And Jackie Join A Cappella Academy

The success of Mira Costas drama program is growing in popularity as students Jaxon Stroyke and Jackie Boupre become one of the few students to make it into the well known Acapella Academy Summer Program in Los Angeles from July. 5-15.

Both sophomores auditioned online along with 588 other applicants. Unlike past years, the amount of applicants doubled, making it more difficult to get in.The summer program lasts 10 days and helps kids to better their vocal talents and performance.Despite global competition, Jaxon and Jackie stood out, securing acceptance emails to the program.

“The moment I opened that email I was so excited.I know how much acapella academy can do for me,” says Stroyke, “To be one of the few accepted to the program is an amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to work with them to widen my range and push my limits.”

Acapella Academy is heavily known for their presence on social media. Many tik toks have gone viral, drawing even more attention to their program. The high quality education comes directly from industry professionals, and practice with talented peers.  

“I heard about this opportunity from the Costa choir director,Kate Crellin, as well as on social media as they have become more popular..  I’m super excited to be in an environment with other people as passionate about music as I am.” said Jackie, “I’m so excited to do Acappella Academy with Jaxon too especially, as we’ve been friends for the majority of High School now. And I’m just excited to learn and make new friends and to sing as much as they’ll let me!”
