The Mira Costa Drama/Tech department opens their spring musical, ‘Footloose,’ tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Shows will run until May 4.

According to Probst, the Drama/Tech department has been working tirelessly to put on Footloose. For the last two weeks, rehearsals have gone until 9 or 10 p.m. each evening leading up to Tech week.

“I am most excited to share our story and talents with hundreds of people on opening night,” said junior Saman- tha Probst, who plays “Rusty.” “It is the most rewarding experience and feeling to perform for an audience after weeks of hard work.”

Students and seniors can purchase presale tickets on Mira Costa’s website for $12 or can purchase tickets at the door for $14. General admission tickets can be pur- chased at presale for $17 and at the door for $20.

“Rehearsals have been so much fun,” Probst said. “I have loved getting to bond with the cast along the way and make so many memories. Tonight, all the hard work will be worth it.”
