Costa’s new club, “Procrastination Nation”, helps students stay organized

Clubs at Costa give students the chance  to take initiative and learn impactful and resourceful skills that can be implemented for many years to come. They have been an invaluable part of student’s experiences, offering many opportunities for personal growth, leadership, and involvement on campus.

Jaxon Stroyke, a senior at Costa, started his club this year called, “Procrastination Nations”. Stroyke’s goal for the club is to create a support group for students, where they are able to meet at lunch and go through their schedules. The students all create calendars together to better organize their school work and activities. “Procrastination Nation” helps students plan their study times to keep them on track of school, life, and challenges in society.

“It’s really important to me that I not only keep myself focused, but that I also help other kids with their schedules because I know that it can be very difficult to juggle school and extracurricular activities,” Stroyke said.

Seniors Sydney Martin and Sienna Martin work alongside Stroyke in the club, “Procrastination Nations”, with their hope being able to help students balance both their personal, and school life.

“It is a really great feeling knowing that I can work with other students to help them with their schedules while making sure I am managing my schedule as well,” says Sienna Martin.

“Procrastination Nations” has made a positive impact on many members’ lives, giving them a resource to work through their busy schedules. The club meets every other Monday in room 102, where all are welcome to join.

“[Procrastination Nations] has really helped me not only connect with and meet new people, but it has also allowed me to be more productive on school work and after school activities.” Bridget Cotrell, a member of the “Procrastination Nations” club said.
