Mira Costa’s Comedy Sportz team competes in a Halloween match on October 18th in the small theater, costa versus costa.
In the first half of the match, the red team held a lead with 22 points, while the blue team trailed behind with 18. This comedy sports game was unique as it was spooky halloween themed. Various halloween themed games took place, and audience members arrived in spirit to enter a raffle for free tickets in the future.
“My favorite part of the game was seeing everyones costumes since it was the Halloween Match” said assistant team manager Emma Gordon, “everyone went all out to dress up creating a spooky and fun night”.
In the second half of the match, many games occurred including “Survivor” where players made one-minute scenes while gradually being eliminated, and “Tag Team Monologue”, a four minute monologue where players tag in and out to play the same role. These games caused a fun environment and made a turnaround for the blue team as they ended with 44 points and the red with 41.
“The environment is very positive on stage, the crowd all laughs and gives off good energy” said sophomore Comedy Sportz member Naomi Dimalanta, “everyone’s just there to have fun”.
