It’s the merriest time of year for coffee lovers as Starbucks breaks out the annual holiday cups.
Their annual holiday menu was released on Nov 7, and slightly differs from previous years by introducing a variety of new espresso based drinks, refreshers, cold foams, and food items.
This year, Starbucks debuted its first ever holiday refresher, a Cran Merry Orange refresh- er, which can be crafted with lemonade or made into a Cran Merry Drink by adding coco- nut milk. The combination of orange isn’t too overpowering and pairs perfectly with the cranberry flavor.
Accompanying the returning beloved handcrafted espresso beverages such as the Pepper- mint Mocha, the Caramel Bru- lee Latte, the Chestnut Pra- line Latte, and the iced Sugar Cookie Latte, coffee lovers can enjoy the new Salted Pecan Crunch Cold Brew. This sweet drink adds a savory crunch t0 break the sweetness with pe- can sugar toppings on salted pecan cold foam.
For tea lovers, the Ginger- bread Oatmilk Chai is a re- turning favorite. This drink uses a new dairy-free ginger- bread flavored coldfoam, with
creamy oat milk and spices to accompany the chai flavor. Other new cold foams released this month are Peppermint Chocolate Cream, Sugar Cook- ie Cream, Chestnut Praline Cream and a Caramel Brulée Cream, all of which are also offered in non-dairy alternatives.
The new Turkey Sage Dan- ish is an addicting savory pastry filled with turkey and bechamel sauce, leaving customers craving another one. The newly released Snowman Cake pop and Snowman Cook- ie are tasty festive treats, with vanilla cake mixed with buttercream and dipped in white chocolate icing and a short- bread cookie with an adorable penguin design. The returning Cranberry Bliss bar adds the perfect holiday touch through a blondie cake topped with cream cheese icing drizzle with a hint of orange zest and dried cranberries.
Starbucks also released its Christmas Coffee Blend. For the 40th year, it remains as one of its most anticipated seasonal blends every year. The Christ- mas Blend along with the Star- bucks Holiday Blend are must tries and can be purchased in whole bean and decaf at any Starbucks store. These rich, savory blends are only avail- able for purchase once a year, so be sure to stock up before they run out.
