On March 16, the Mira Costa boys lacrosse team traveled to Redondo Union High School for another win. With an ending score of 19-2, Costa brought its record up to 3-2.
Costa’s goalie, senior John Mayfield, played the entire game with a broken thumb. Though injured, he only surrendered two goals in the second half.
One of the most interesting plays of the game was senior Tom Farrell’s goal in the second quarter. He scored from behind the goal.
This game marked a significant achievement for several of Costa’s players’ because of the high scoring. Junior Chris O’brien scored five goals during the game.
After this game, Costa looks forward to their sixth game against Beverly Hills on March 18 at Waller Stadium.
