On March 23, the Mira Costa’s girls lacrosse team defeated the team from Downey High School. The girls won 19-6 by improving their weaknesses of past games.
Sophomore Taylor Pool helped the girls maintain their lead throughout the game. Senior goalie Megan Difley denied Downy’s attempts at scoring with a total of eight blocks.
The Mustangs play their second Bay League game on March 25 at Palos Verdes High School. They will launch an attack on the Sea Kings in order to improve their 0-1 Bay League record.
