The seemingly secure lead that the Costa girls lacrosse team built up in the first half of its March 29 game against Redondo was quickly overcome in the second half by the Seahawks, and Costa lost, 16-12.
Sophomores Taylor Pool and Carly McGuire scored three goals each, while seniors Jackie Dotemoto and Sarah Moraitis both forced numerous turnovers. Costa is now 2-2 in Bay League and 7-4 overall. The team will travel to Beverly Hills for its next game on April 13.
