Student government hosted on April 19 the second semester scholar breakfast to honor academically distinguished students.
The students were nominated by the teachers and fellow club members on basis of strong morale and academic success within the classroom.
“I said a few words about the students who were selected by their club members because I am the advisor for the clubs on campus,” student activities director Lisa Claypoole said.
Commissioner to Campus Welfare, senior Ryan Hornstra was the chair of the event. At the end of the event, students were also given gift cards to In-N-Out, Chipotle, Coffee Bean and Jama juice with a raffle.
“I was in charge of the event and kept things running smoothly. Scholar breakfast is a good way to recognize the students with excellent academics and character,” Hornstra said.
