The Mira Costa softball team played on April 30 in the La Mirada Tournament. They played Barstow in their first game of the tournament and won 9-0. Their record stays at 5-0 in Bay League and increases to 16-4-1 overall.
Mira Costa played with a depleted roster due to AP testing, yet they still were able to post nine runs against the Barstow team. The top performer of this game was junior Katie Saunders who had two hits on the day and an RBI single.
The Mustangs now look to continue this winning streak as they continue the La Mirada Tournament on May 7 against an opponent who is yet to be determined.
