The Mira Costa Mustangs softball team played on May 6 when they visited West Torrance in their eighth Bay League game of the season. With a victory of 8-1, the Mustangs improve their record to 6-2 in Bay League and 17-6-1 overall.
The top performer of the game was sophomore Taylor Glover, who went 3 for 3 with three singles and two runs batted in.
The Mustangs have a tough schedule in front of them this upcoming week. They play two games against rivals Redondo and Palos Verdes on May 10 and May 12, respectively. All three teams are tied for first place in Bay League and the games next week will decide who wins the Bay League championship.
