The Mira Costa girl’s tennis team kicked off their season at home on Sept. 8 against Bishop Montgomery High School. Despite, the strong competition, the Mustangs pulled out a win to begin their season at 1-0.
Juniors Hanna McGuire and Ava Klein led the Mustangs to a 10-8 win over the Knights, responsible for
four of the team’s ten total wins. Junior Carly McGuire, a first year member of the team, and freshman
Mai Nojima also played strongly, contributing another two wins in doubles play.
The Mustangs will return to their home court for the second game of the season against Orange Lutheran on Sept. 12.
