Volleyball falls short in season opener

The Mira Costa girl’s Volleyball team opened their season on September 8, on the road against Edison High School. The Mustang’s began with a promising start, winning the first two games however, the girls came up just short in the fifth game 13-15 resulting in a loss to open the season.

The new team consists of seniors Maddie Klienman and  Katie Warshaw, and juniors Corey Bain, Grayce Campbell, Gracie Chavers, Lexie Millington, Carley Muller, Gabi Rosenfeld and Kelsey McIntire, as well as sophomore Sammy Furlan. Warshaw, Campbell, and Bain led the Mustang’s in a tough opening loss.

The Mustang’s next game will take place at Durango High School in the
Durango Tournament starting on September 16.
