The Mira Costa girl’s tennis team extended its early season success with a win over Orange Lutheran High School at home on Sept. 12. The win brings their record to 2-0.
Juniors Hanna McGuire and Ava Klein continued to build on last week’s singles play dominance over Bishop Montgomery, helping the Mustangs triumph over the Orange Lutheran Lancers 12-6. Both girls swept their opponents, contributing 6 wins to the teams total of 12. The pairing of senior Erin Murphy and freshman Sydney Ascher also played a pivotal role in the win in doubles play, adding 2 wins for the team.
The Mustangs continue their home stand on Sept. 13 against Newport Harbor High School at 3:00.
