The Mira Costa girls tennis team faced one of their toughest opponents of the year at home on Friday, September 23, against Marlborogh and still picked up their fifth win of the season. Costa set the tone by sweeping Marlborogh in doubles play in the match, while only losing three total games, resulting in a total score of 15-3.
The girls were led by junior Hanna McGuire, who beat Marlborogh’s best three singles players in a three game sweep, 6-1, 6-4, and 7-5.
The Mustangs (5-2-1) look to continue their winning ways in their next match against rival Beverly Hills on September 27 at home.
