The Mira Costa girls tennis team battled rival Beverly Hills on Tuesday, September 27, and picked up their sixth win of the season. Costa battled to the end against their opponents and eventually came out on top in a match that was fiercely contested by both teams. The final score of the match was 11 games to five games, in the Mustangs favor.
The girls were led by the pair, sophomores Sydney Ascher and Mai Nojima, who led Mira Costa’s doubles play by winning their four games easily, with scores of 7-6, 7-1, 6-4, and 6-2 .
The Mustangs (6-2-1) hope to continue their winning ways in their first Bay League game of the year against Palos Verdes at home on September 28.
