The Mira Costa girls tennis team played their first Bay League match of the year against Palos Verdes on Wednesday, September 28, and lost for just the third time all season. Costa was never able to muster up much of a fight against the Sea Kings as Palos Verdes dominated most of the game. The final score of the match was 13 games to five games, in Palos Verdes favor.

Costa was led by junior Maegan Manasse, who won three of the Mustangs five total games by scores of 6-0, 6-1, and 6-0.

The Mustangs (6-3-1) hope to bounce back in their next match against West on October 6 at home.
