The Mira Costa girls tennis team suffered their second consecutive loss on October 19 at home against Santa Monica High School. With this loss, the team’s overall record drops to 8-7-1, and their Bay League record remains at 2-3.
Doubles junior pair, Carley McGuire and Alex Waller won two sets by scores of 6-3 and 6-1 in the Mustang’s 6-12 loss against Santa Monica. In addition, sophomore Paula Cenusa (6-2) and junior Juliana Hoft (6-1) each won a set in singles.
The girls’ next chance to redeem themselves will be at West Torrance High School on October 25.
