The Mira Costa wrestling team headed out to West Torrance High School for their first match of the 2011-2012 season. The Mustangs placed 4th overall.
Senior Tyler Emery, and juniors Will Goodwin and Jake Shapiro finished in third place in their respected weight classes. Sophomore Kit Murphy was runner up in his respected weight class while recently added team member and senior Alex Rosen competed in her first two varsity matches. Rosen fell just short in both matches.
The Mustangs will look for their second consecutive strong showing on December 6 when they take on Peninsula High School on the road.
