On Saturday, Dec. 10th the Mira Costa girls soccer team competed in the pool play round of the South High School Holiday Tournament. Costa played against Torrance High School in the first game and SA Valley in the second and won both.
Costa won the first game against Torrance with a spotless final score of 2-0. Goals were scored by junior Alyssa Lloja and sophomore Kimby Keever.
In the second game of the day the girls played against SA Valley and got another win with a score of 3-0. The girls will be advancing to the next round of the tournament that will take place on Saturday, Dec. 17.
The Mustangs’ (6-1) next game will be an away game on Monday, Dec. 12 against Torrance High.
