January 6: “The Devil Inside” opens in theatres nation-wide. This horror film follows the trend of “The Blair Witch Project” and “Paranormal Activity” with low budget feel and single handheld camera angles. “The Devil Inside” may lack the depth of a quality film but should be ample entertainment for young people.
January 6: No Age at The Smell: Lo-fi noise band, No Age, will be performing at The Smell in downtown Los Angeles as part of The Smell’s 14th Anniversary Weekend celebration, doors open at 7PM and tickets are five dollars.
On-going: Go to the Getty Museum to see the current “Pacific Standard Time” exhibit. The exhibit at the moment is focusing on LA influenced art from 1945-1980. “Pacific Standard Time” ranges from post modern sculptor to standard paintings. Every piece is distinctly “Los Angeles” and makes for a great exhibit.
